Go Legit became a staple in the Gainesville, Florida community after the release of #idoit4mycity Vol. 1 which is a album of indie artists and producers all from Gainesville, Florida. the #idoit4mycity platform was built to establish unity among the hip hop community in Gainesville.

CEO of Go Legit Entertainment is Desean Thompson. Desean has managed artists, producers, & DJs before embarking on establishing his own brand. Booking parties for DJ Terrah and getting beat placements for Drilla & DJ Terrah along with creating marketing campaigns and running all social media accounts for both clients. Frequent trips to visit Atlanta’s music scene and his desire to be great at managing his clients birthed the idea of Go Legit Entertainment.
The CEO/Founder Desean Thompson was inspired by how well the hip hop ecosystem worked in Atlanta, Georgia so he attempted to recreate the same vibe in Gainesville.
